150 Arashi trends TV Guide Nov 2013: #11 ~ #25
Here's part 2 of the 150 trends compiled by TV Guide! From Trend #26 onwards, it'll be member-centric so watch out for those.
15 years ago, Arashi debuted with their single, “A.RA.SHI” on 3 November 1999. To celebrate the entry into their 15th anniversary year, we’ve compiled 15 years’ worth of 150 Arashi trends! From nostalgic fads to persisting preferences, we bring to you the people and things that Arashi is obsessed with.
Trend #11: The offer of a stethoscope?
When Aiba-chan starred in the drama “Last Hope”; it seems that Sho-kun, who played a physician in a movie, said, “I’ll lend you my stethoscope.” However, Aiba-chan commented, “The stethoscope did not reach me AT ALL. (laughs)”

Trend #12: Aiba, Matsumoto and Ninomiya’s connection through baseball.
The three guys who played baseball in their youth. When we asked them about their commonality, of course they answered, “Baseball.”

Trend #13: When I return home, I put my bags aside, take off my watch and accessories, and gargle my mouth.
When Matsujun gave this answer, Sho-kun said, “We’re exactly the same!” They behave similarly even after they return to their homes!

Trend #14: I’m pretty lousy when it comes to playing pranks.
The 4 members tried to play a prank on Matsujun’s birthday. “We had a super secretive meeting in a separate room, but I behaved unnaturally after that,” said Oh-chan. Perhaps he’s the type of person who’s likely to be pranked than to fool somebody else?

Trend #15: We have ramen during the Fukuoka leg of the tour.
“We ate ramen in Fukuoka,” said Matsujun. They’re really close, even on their tours!

Trend #16: We give each other birthday presents.
It’s a pretty well-known fact that the members give each other birthday presents. For Oh-chan’s 24th birthday, Aiba-chan gave him a cardigan. “I did very well this winter, wearing a thick cardigan,” said Oh-chan.

Trend #17: Aiba, Ohno and Sakurai were watching soccer.
Aiba-chan talked about his memories of watching the 2002 World Cup held in Japan and Korea. “Although we went to watch a match in the rain, I remember Leader being the only one who counted the rain drops whilst staring at the sky. (laughs)”

Trend #18: Our mobile phone’s ringtone is ringtone #2.
In response to questions from the readers, Matsujun said, “Every Arashi member has the same ringtone. We’re just too lazy [to change it]. (laughs)”

Trend #19: Reminiscing about their Junior eras during their tours.
This happened during the “One” tour. “That was the first time I heard Ohno-kun talk about his days in Kyoto. Then Nino joined it, which made the conversation more lively. Everyone added their own stories from the past, and that was the trip which strengthened our bonds even further,” said Sho-kun.

Trend #20: All of Arashi goes to Hawaii during the New Year!?
During our wrap-up party for the tour, apparently the members got excited and said, “When we’re surrounded by reporters at the airport who think that we’re here for work, we could tell them it’s a private trip. Wouldn’t that be interesting?”

When readers wrote in and asked Nino, “Do you and Oh-chan have matching necklaces?” He replied, “The 5 of us generally go to different stores when we’re shopping, but somehow Leader and I would end up going to the same place. As for buying matching items… Leader was the one who suggested it.”

Trend #22: The members often remember what Ohno dreamt.
“I rarely dream, so I don’t remember what happens within them,” said Matsujun. “However, I often hear about Ohno-kun’s dreams so I remember those.”

Trend #23: The members complain about Ohno’s text messages.
Apparently, they complained that Ohno’s text messages were filled with emoticons, rendering them incomprehensible. Incidentally, Oh-chan often uses the Soccer Ball and Camisole emoticons. According to Oh-chan, “Neither emoticon means anything.”

Trend #24: There was a period where everyone was blond save for Matsujun.
“I think we’ve changed our hairstyles numerous times throughout the past 10 years,” said Aiba-chan. We were shocked to hear that at one point in time, 4 of them were blond!

Trend #25: Aiba, Matsumoto and Ohno went to New York for a vacation.
The trio who went vacationing in New York. “I wanna go there together again, someday. But it seems like we’ll end up being free and easy.” said Aiba-chan.
