This is a corner where the members of Arashi create a compilation of Arashi songs. For the 2nd round, we bring to you this compilation of songs which Oh-chan selected based on his instincts, and packaged it together with his memories.

I chose this theme simply because whenever I listen to a song, it brings back the memories of that time. During “Jidai”, we shot the PV for 6 hours straight, dancing all the way. On top of that, I was in the Shonentai musical. The lines to my script were changed suddenly, so I got really flustered and stuff. (laughs) As for “Typhoon”, I had problems with my falsetto…. So I took 3 to 4 hours for the studio recording. After that, I started practising, so I came to be able to do it. For “Te Agero”, I have this strong impression that I performed it during my solo concert.

For “15th”, I have the choreography video at home. When I watch it, I’m dancing my heart out. At that point in time, I felt that I wanted to work hard at dance, and that side of me was cute. (laughs) “Right” was in the “2004 Arashi! Iza Now Tour!!”, wasn’t it? I danced quite a bit during the solo, “TOP SECRET”; in a sense, for “dance”, this was the concert where I was satisfied with myself, I guess.

For “Step”, I kept humming to it while I was preparing for my art exhibition… We sang “Hatenai Sora” on Arashi ni Shiyagare right after the [Tohoku] earthquake disaster, that left a deep impression. I had various thoughts about Japan, and the victims in the disaster area…

Songs which took a long time to record, songs for which I came up with the choreography, drama theme songs, those definitely left an impression… Of course, it’s not just these 15 songs, I have memories for all the Arashi songs. I came up with [these 15 songs] by looking over the Arashi discography once through and selecting the top few which popped up in my mind.
