DUET magazine quizzes Arashi on all things recent. Aiba talked about an amusing incident which involved futsal and a cab.

Q: Tell us about a recent incident where you shed some tears.

After I watched the movie, “World Trade Center”, I felt so miserable that I almost cried. It made me think, “Such terrible things did happen.”

Q: Tell us about a recent incident which made you nervous/excited.

Recently, the five members of Arashi and the staff of J-Storm played futsal together. Our first ever futsal match. It was an intense workout that sent my heart thumping. (laughs) But it was fun~!

Q: Tell us about something delicious which you ate recently.

Aoyagi (hen clam). I’ve liked it ever since I was young. However, there aren’t a lot of restaurants that serve it in Tokyo.

Q: Tell us about a recent incident which caused you to burst out laughing.

I laughed when we played futsal. Everyone sucked so badly. (laughs)

Q: Tell us about something strange which you discovered recently.

There are people who drive through the ETC toll gates at really high speeds, which I find really puzzling. You know how the ETC barrier rises up at the very last minute, right? That’s scary. I drive through at a speed where I can stop immediately.

Q: Tell us about something which you panicked over recently.

After futsal, I couldn’t be bothered to change so I went home in my soccer clothes. The night had fallen and I thought, heck it. I was also dressed in my soccer shoes and just hopped onto a cab. Then I left the sneakers, which I had been carrying, in the cab. The sneakers which I had just bought the other day. I knew I had forgotten it the moment I alighted from the cab, so I chased after it. However, I couldn’t catch up with the cab at all, so I gave up.

Q: Tell us about something which you earnestly wished for recently.

I wished that someone would return my sneakers to me. (laughs)

Q: Tell us about something recent which you regret.

I try to live without any regrets.

Q: Tell us about a recent incident in which you had a blast.

A hometown senpai (senior) which was a year older than me came onto my radio show. The band, “Echiura”. We had a blast talking about the good old times.

Q: Tell us about something which shocked you recently.

Recently, I took a cab and headed to a TV station by myself. However, I couldn’t figure out where the entrance of the TV station was. I couldn’t believe that I wasn’t able to do something so simple by myself.

Q: Tell us about what you’re doing recently.

We had an Asia tour so I often traveled overseas. Other than that, things are pretty normal. But we managed to play futsal, so I had fun every day, somehow.

Q: Tell us about the concert in January which you held after your successful overseas tour.

It was the first concert which we performed for overseas fans, so we wanted to create a concert which easily conveyed what Arashi was all about. In a way, it’s like a “Best Of Arashi” concert.

Q: You get to receive a present from Santa. If you could wish for a gift, what would it be?

Academic ability. Especially English language skills.

Q: What’s your plan for Christmas 2006?

I think I’ll probably be working, but my birthday’s on the 24th, so I get to eat cake at all sorts of workplaces.

Q: If you could give a present to your fans, what would it be?

Love! No, I’ll share my cake with the fans. (laughs)
