Volume 67: THE Status Update
Hello.
It’s me.
Recently, when the Arashi members had a press conference, this happened whilst we were traveling within the airport via a car.
As Aiba-kun looked out the window, he alone got excited.
Aiba: Whoa… Awesome! It’s my first time seeing it. So that’s the Sky Tree! It sure is humongous!
Ninomiya: No, that’s the (airport’s) control tower.
He’s amazing.
Aiba-kun, that is.
Regardless of whether he firmly believed in it, he was 120% moved by his feelings.
…while gazing at a control tower.
He couldn’t back out even if he wanted to.
Aiba: No! That’s the Sky Tree to me! It sure is big! Wow!
Aiba continued to be inspired by the sight.
He’s amazing.
Well, now.
This happened while I was filming the movie the other day.
As I was cheerfully checking my mobile phone, I received an e-mail.
It was an e-mail from Matsumoto-kun to Ninomiya-kun and I.
Along with the captions, “You’ll see this when you pass by customs!” was a photo of Ohno-kun and Aiba-kun in front of a poster, mimicking their poses.
...what a meticulous person!
He’s too meticulous!
That’s right.
That day, Haneda Airport commemorated its full fledged opening.
Matsumoto-kun had sent pictures of the event to Sakurai and Ninomiya as we couldn’t attend the event due to our movie and drama filming commitments.
Furthermore, Matsumoto-kun wasn’t in the pictures.
If I were to hazard a guess, Matsumoto-kun was probably the one taking the photos.
He could have just joined in!
It was a rare opportunity, so he could have gotten into the picture and had the manager take the photo!!
Oh man…
What a conscientious guy.
Well, now (2).
When I was filming the movie.
When Miyazaki Aoi-chan saw little old me in pajamas and a cardigan, this is what she said.
Aoi-chan: Sakurai-kun, you look like a mother today. (laughs)
Sakurai: Oh gosh, stop that. I wonder if that’s what I look like?
… and we kept doing short skits like that.
Staff: Alright, Sakurai-san, please enter the set.
Aoi-chan: Have a great day, Mother!
Sakurai: Yes dear, I will.
That was the kind of conversations we had.
With that, we have just a little more to go before we finish filming the movie.
I’m doing my best as Ichito every day.

P.S. I will be in Tokyo from 5 to 8 August and unfortunately wasn't able to get my hands on tickets to Freestyle 2. If anyone here has an extra ticket which they would be willing to sell, please PM me!
