Ayase Haruka x Arashi’s Friendly Dialogue!
Let us meet at Kouhaku!

Sho: Are you anxious about anything, given that it’s your first time being an MC?

Ayase: Stuff like, when I should eat and such…

Ohno: Huh? You’re anxious about that!? (laughs)

Nino: Just eat whenever you feel like it! (laughs)

Ayase: But aren’t our costume changes really fast?

Aiba: We can’t eat once the show has started, so you should eat before that.

Jun: But we’ll be dressed in kimono in the beginning, so if you eat too much, too quickly, that’s a little risky. Anything else?

Ayase: Erm… If I falter or mess up my lines, please make some wisecrack at me.

All of Arashi: ROFL

Jun: You’re going on the presumption that you’ll falter at some point? (laughs) But my impression of Ayase-san is that you don’t really get nervous.

Ayase: I think I will be extremely nervous. I got nervous when I introduced your song last year. [The title] was so long!

Aiba: It was “New Year’s Eve Medley 2012”, right?

Ayase: I guess it wasn’t very long then. (laughs)

Nino: You felt that it was long because of your nerves, right?

Ayase: You’re right! I had to make sure I didn’t mess up.

Nino: You won’t! You’ll be fine. Ohno-san will help you.

Ayase: Ohno-san takes this rivalry very seriously.

Ohno: That’s why I won’t be helping you. (laughs)

Nino: I thought we said we were going to do this amicably…

Ohno: But I wanna hold the victory flag!

Aiba: You’re so childish!

Jun: It’s our 4th time hosting, so his persona is established. (laughs)

Nino: It’s very polished now.

Sho: That’s the persona that he arrived at, though.

Ayase: Somehow, Arashi is just… I would suppose it’s normal, but everyone is just so natural… You’re like an ojichan. (laughs)

T/N: Ojichan means “uncle” or “middle-aged man”.

Aiba: BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Sho: HEY! (laughs)

Jun: (stands up) Hey! I have a slight issue with that! (laughs)

Sho: AHAHAHAHA! (can’t stop laughing)

Ayase: They show their concern by saying, “Have you eaten?” and “Do your best!” It’s as if they’re the neighbourhood… I guess ojichan is rather rude. (laughs)

Sho: You should be saying “Oniichan”, right?

T/N: Oniichan means “elder brother”, and given that Ayase Haruka is 28 years old, it would reflect their ages more appropriately.

Ayase: That’s right! It’s oniichan!

Nino: I’m sure you meant to say oniichan, right?

Ayase: I’m sorry. (laughs)

Aiba: “Natural oniichans”, right?

Sho: Okay, amendments completed!

Nino: That’s a nice impression.

Aiba: I don’t know for sure, but it seems like Ayase-san is having fun all the time. (laughs)

Sho: That’s true!

Jun: You would call *that* being natural, wouldn’t you? I think she’d have lots of fun on that day, so I’m looking forward to it.
