[Recap] TOKIO Kakeru - Yonekura Ryoko comes to play! (with bits of Mizobata Junpei)

TOKIO is my favorite senpai group of all time and this is one of the reasons why.

Yonekura Ryoko (and a very traumatized Mizobata Junpei) come onto the show to promote the new Captain America movie and Taichi digs up some juicy clips which aired last year.

It all began with a letter...


"Why, here's a Death Letter from Yonekura Ryoko," says Taichi. "Hang on, there's something wrong here. It says..."

"Hurry and become my husband already!"


Matsuoka defends himself. "She often says, 'You're my ideal partner,' as a joke."


"Did you think she was joking!?" says an outraged Taichi.


"Of COURSE she's kidding!!" retorts Matsuoka, who starts to panic.


“Getsuku dramas typically begin at this point!” says Nagase.
“YOU IDIOT.” retorts Matsuoka.
(Primetime drama slot that typically feature romantic dramas like Pride and Long Vacation.)


“They’d be double the power,” says a supportive Ueto Aya.


I capped this for Nagase and Matsuoka's epic reactions.


"Let's settle this here and now." Nagase wants to see some action.
"We're getting on in years," says Taichi, "Give her an answer already!"


"Yone, it'll be a painful relationship."


She looked SO SAD. ;_____;


"Is he saying that it might happen!?"

“So he’s saying that if she doesn’t mind a painful relationship, it can work?”


A panicked Mabo on both screens (inset and without).


The way she looks at him. ;____; Even if they’re just friends, it’s something special.


My mother actually called! “Are you getting married?” she asked.


Caption reads: His mother was also looking forward to it!?


"I texted him after that, you know." says a slightly put out Yonekura. "How about it (the getting married part)?"
Then Mabo replied, "I'm saying, it's going to be a painful relationship."


"So if she's fine with a painful relationship, you're good to go?"


"Love is a painful thing in and of itself." says Nagase. That's why he's the lyricist of the group.


"So today, he came by my dressing room. 'Hey, Yone!' he said, 'I'm counting on you today!' and left.


"And my heart skipped a beat."


He was sweating bullets throughout the whole show, I swear.


"So what did you mean by a painful relationship?"


"We've always been together, haven't we?"


"Since we were kids."
Ryoko snickers on the side. But they've known each other for more than 20 years. True fact.


"You have those kind of situations too." says a somber Taichi.


"I've loved her all this while after all."


"Don't you feel embarrassed for saying that?" cackles Matsuoka.


"What the hell, I said it FOR YOUR SAKE."


"I've always said that he was my ideal partner."


“You’re talking about ideals, right? But I’ve always felt that things are different in reality.”


"Well, it'd be nice if he could make it a reality."


Mabooooooo~


"Just embrace her already! Matsuoka!!"


"So what about Matsuoka-kun mesmerizes you so much?"


"He has always been shy and is truly a kind person."


Matsu-niiiiiii~


"You know, his face returned to that of a child. To when we met him in middle school." I believe you, Leader.


"SHUT UP, JOSHIMA!!"


“He says it with such vehemence but he’s really a sweet guy underneath.” says Taichi.


"Hang on, did I do something wrong?"


"So what did you mean by a painful relationship?"


"The fact that we met. That was painful."


"Quit screwing around."


Capped this for Yonekura's snicker.


"But they look really good together!"


"Yeah, and they're both so cool." Junpei feels left out of the cool gang.


If it were Yone and I, we'd probably do well.


That smile doesn't lie.


Can you imagine a wedding ceremony with that both of them!? *is already there drinking shots from the makeshift bar*


Ever the morning news guy, Gussan asks Mabo, "Matsuoka-san, could you please tell us 5 wonderful aspects about your wife?"


*is pondering whether he should speak the truth on TV*


Well, I have just one. She’s always her natural self.

Everyone dies because Matsuoka is so embarrassed and the color of an Italian tomato. LOL!!


The poor guy needs a break.


Yonekura is about to split a gut laughing.


Let's stop trying to settle this today.

I dont mind if they are really married >.<
