Only Star magazine sits down with the boys as they go behind the scenes of "THE DIGITALIAN"!

Q1: Congratulations on your 15th year! Please share with us a moment where you thought, “I’m glad Arashi consists of the five of us!” (from a 32 year old female in Nagano prefecture)
Sakurai Sho
Thank you very much! I don’t think I’ll be able to fully appreciate the fact that it was us five until Arashi disbands or one of us dies. However, I think that the group’s shape, color and atmosphere would change should any of us be missing, or if another person were to join us. I think Arashi can only consist of these five people right now.
Ohno Satoshi
Rather than a single moment, I always feel this way. But I feel it especially at the end of a concert and after we complete an activity. And this feeling just gets stronger and stronger every year.
Ninomiya Kazunari
I’ve probably said this a thousand times, but I always feel this way. Isn’t it characteristic of girls to feel, “I’m glad we’re friends,” or “I’m glad that I fell for him”. I don’t get so dramatic though. I mean, I’ve always been in Arashi. If I had been in other groups, maybe I’d feel more strongly about it, but it has always been Arashi for me.
Matsumoto Jun
There is no one moment, since I often feel this way. However, in Hawaii, when I thought of how the five of us had spent the past 15 years in the same way, that’s when I felt it strongly.
Aiba Masaki
Rather than a single moment, the feeling keeps getting stronger every year. I can’t imagine Arashi consisting of anyone but us five. With these five people, we’ve gained a wealth of experiences and overcome many years together. It hits me every time we welcome our 5th and 10th year anniversaries.
Q2: Please share with some behind-the-scenes stories from the filming of the Zero-G PV!
Sakurai Sho
This was the first music video that Ohno choreographed for. [T/N: Bittersweet doesn’t count, since they didn’t dance in the PV.] We wanted to showcase Ohno’s dance, so we affixed a camera to a certain spot and filmed our choreography for the Making Of. If someone made a mistake, we’d had to start over. That was really fun, so I’d love for people to watch it.
Ohno Satoshi
I discussed with Matsujun how we should choreograph the song with an adult image. This time round, I felt that we didn’t want the camera to film us straight on, so I requested for the last part to be filmed by a fixed point camera, and to insert bird’s eye shots in between.
Ninomiya Kazunari
If we were the ones doing the CG, it would be difficult, but we’re only filming the raw cuts. The staff would fill in the CG parts later, so the filming wasn’t tough. Leader’s choreography was his usual stuff. We’ve danced to his choreography so many times, it didn’t feel like it was anything special. We finished learning the choreography in 2 to 3 hours, which I thought was rather fast.
Matsumoto Jun
While we were recording the PV, we were preparing for “ARASHI BLAST in Hawaii” and having discussions with the staff on the finishing touches to “THE DIGITALIAN”, so I could only remember that we were bustling about.
Aiba Masaki
The PV filming went smoothly. We included a Making Of, so we included footage of us dancing to a fixed point camera. That’s something that you can only catch during rehearsals! I hope you enjoy the behind-the-scenes footage.
